In its inaugural year The Wakatipu Legend event is offering three different course lengths allowing a wide range of abilities to participate.&nbsp;1km - "The Bay Swim" - A great event for those who can swim, but haven’t really dipped their toes into open water swimming and are feeling a little unsure.&nbsp;1.9km - "The Beacon Swim" - Swim out into the deep blue heading for the Queenstown Bay Beacon (950m). Then turn and swim for home.&nbsp;3.8km - "The Legend Swim" - You will be taken by boat from Queenstown Bay to the start of the “The Legend” swim. Jump from the boat into the blue crisp water of the Wakatipu ready for a deep water start.&nbsp;http://thewakatipulegend.co.nz/

Swimmers start at the iconic Queenstown Bay Beach. Running into the water (or a gently paddle) swimmers can dive and invigorate themselves, immersing into the Wakatipu waters.
