2023 NSW Baseball5 Youth & Open’s

Baseball5 NSW is excited to announce that we will be hosting the inaugural Youth and Open’s Baseball5 Carnival on the 18th – 20th of August, 2023. The Tournament will be played at Ultimate Soccer, in Fairfield, Sydney over the 19th and 20th, with a special introduction to our ‘All Abilities’ program on the 18th.

The event opener on Friday the 18th of August, will be a dedicated all-abilities day in conjunction with Disability Sports Australia, with a specialised B5 program. NSW Baseball5 will also look at doing a demo of Wheelchair Baseball5 highlighting the unique skills of our athletes.

Each team will require a minimum of five (5) players who can actively compete on the field. The total team numbers cannot exceed ten (10) players allowing for reserves. All Teams are encouraged to have, when possible, female players as per WBSC requirements for sanctioned competitions.

Please note: 

This event is a qualifier for the Australian Youth representative team selection to go to the WBSC Youth Baseball5 World Cup being held in Ankara, Turkey, on the 10th – 15th of October 2023. Australia will be entering a team representing Oceania and will require four female and four male competitors to be selected from this event. Please tick “Available for World Cup selection” on your registration form if you would like to be considered.

For those who are successfully selected, the only cost to the participant will be travel to and from the event. All accommodation, meals and competition costs will be covered during the tournament.

• Youth Category - Under 18 (as at 31 December, 2023*)
• Open Category - Over 18 (as at 1st January 2024)

• Players may register as either a team or an individual. When registering a team, one member will be required to provide an Excel spreadsheet of the participating team members. When registering as an individual, you will go into a player pool for later allocation.
