2024 Barclay Cup Expressions of Interest to Trial

The Barclay Cup is back and will be coming to Sydney in 2024. This tournament is a highlight of the junior female baseball calendar and will be an event you don’t want to miss!

The competition will feature teams from across five states, NSW, QLD, VIC, WA, and SA. We will see talent from across the country and give them the opportunity to celebrate and develop the future of Women’s baseball in Australia. The NSW teams this year will be led by NSW and Australian representative talent Laura Neads, Amy Saliba, Claire O’Sullivan, Katie Gaynor, Jordan Richardson, and more!  

Baseball NSW has confirmed that we will be placing two teams into the tournament again this year. We also have the potential of submitting a third team if the interest is high enough and there are adequate players. In this tournament, all NSW teams are named after Jacinda Barclay and the impact she has had on the game of women’s baseball!

Estimated cost $2000/player.

To be eligible to participate in the Barclay Cup the girls must be between the ages of 13 and 16 by the 31 of August 2024. The Barclay Cup Program and trials will be conducted and organised by our State Development Officer Coen Wynne. The Barclay Cup aims to drive Women’s baseball in the right direction. That is why we, and the other states, are committed to having as many women participating as possible. By striving to have greater women’s participation in a variety of roles, be it player, coach, or staff, we can continue growing all aspects of the game.

Trials will be held on

Thursday the 6th June and Tuesday 11th of June (if required) – 6pm to 9pm
