2025 Open & U20 Australian Athletics Championships Tour
Athletics New Zealand High Performance are offering the opportunity to join a development tour to prepare for and compete at the 2025 Open & U20 Australian Athletics Championships being held in Perth, Australia.

The Championships are from the 10th – 13th of April with the tour being run from the 7th – 13th of April. This is a chance for athletes to experience what it is like to travel, train and compete with a group at a pinnacle competition.
To join this tour, please complete your registration by the 4th of February 2025. Invitations for this tour has gone to the current PPS/PDS athletes but is now being extended to other athletes to have enough participants to make the tour viable.
If by the close of registrations not enough athletes confirm attendance, the tour will not go ahead. If the tour does not go ahead, deposits paid will be returned.
Goals of tour:
Expose athletes to quality competition at the Australian championships
Experience time away from the athletes home environment to develop the skills needed to cook and live with other athletes and coaches of a tour group whilst preparing for competition.
Cost:
The cost of joining the tour will be between $1400-$1700 depending on final numbers. A $250 deposit will be required to confirm your spot on the tour.
What is provided on the tour:
6 nights shared accommodation in self-contained apartments.
Coaching, physio and management support throughout tour.
Ground transport to training and competition in Australia, airport shuttles at designated times.
Full kitchen and washing facilities are available in each apartment.

What is not provided on the tour:
Food (staying at self-catering accommodation, a supermarket and other food options available close by)
Flights (you will need to arrange your own flights to/from Perth)
Australian championship competition entry cost (up to individuals to enter)
