The Winter Track and Field Meets will be conducted as a form of Combined Event. Athletes will compete in 5 events (4 for Multi-Class- Para). There will be no awards for the individual events but there will be awards for the top 3 athletes in each age group/gender across the 5 events (4 for Multi- Class - Para) similar to how Combined Event awards are done.
The 2024/25 LAVic Winter Track and Field Meets are qualifying events for Under 9 to Under 17 athletes to compete in the 2024/25 Winter Track and Field Championships on Sunday, 17th August 2025. “Non-standard” events have been selected to make these meets a little different to the “regular” competition that athletes participate in.
Entry Fee:
$31.10 per athlete *
$25.10 for Multi-Class - Para *
Processing fee of $1.10 is included in the advertised price for each member entered.

Eligibility & Entry Requirements:
All 2024/25 financial registered competitive LAVic members from the Under 9 to Under 17 age groups are eligible to enter.
Maximum numbers per age group:
U09 – U13: 32 Boys & 32 Girls (each age group)
U14 – U17: 16 Boys & 16 Girls (each age group)
Multi-Class (Para) – 16 Boys & 16 Girls (regardless of age group)
Note: Entry numbers are strictly limited for each venue and are on a first in, first served basis (Athletes may attend more than 1 qualifier). Venues cannot be switched once the registration has been processed and paid for.
Events Conducted:
All Athletes from Under 9 to Under 17 are required to compete in all events allocated to their age group at the event.
Able-bodied athletes 5 Events
Boys - 60m, 300m, 700m, Long Jump, Shot Put
Girls - 60m, 300m, 700m, Long Jump, Discus
Multi-Class (Para) athletes
4 Events - 60m, 300m, Long Jump & Shot Put
Progression to Winter Track & Field Championships
U09-U13
Top 5 in each age group and gender progress automatically to final (Maximum of 16 at finals in each age group) from Meets 1,2 and 3.
Athletes that finish 6th -12th will have their results recorded and then be considered for final field spots in each age group and gender, once all 3 meets have been conducted.
U14-U17
Top 3 in each age group and gender progress automatically to final (Maximum of 12 at finals in each age group) from Meets 1,2 and 3.
Athletes that finish 4th -8th will have their results recorded and then be considered for final field spots in each age group and gender, once all 3 meets have been conducted.
Multi-Class (Para)
Top 2 in each of the Multi-Class (Para) age groups progress automatically to final (Maximum of 8 at finals in each age group) from Meets 1,2 and 3.
Athletes that finish 3rd -8th in their age group will have their results recorded and then be considered for final field spots in each age group and gender, once all 3 meets have been conducted.

Sibling Invitation event (U6-U8 registered members):
Entrants with registered LAVic siblings in the U6-U8 age groups are invited to express their interest in participating at the same winter T&F event as their older brother/sister. A series of questions within your entry will allow you to confirm the details of the competitors (Name, Age group & Gender). Events conducted will include the 60m, 100m & a field event (the field event will be confirmed after the close of entries).
