Rules:
A full list of the Auckland Junior Championship rules is available here. All athletes must familiarise themselves with these rules before submitting their entry.
Championship Programme:
The Junior Championships will be held over 4 event days, Friday 21 February, Sunday 23 February, Friday 28 February and Sunday 2 March. The full programme is available here.
Events:
Grade 7 – 9:
60m, 100m, 200m, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus
Grade 10 – 14:
100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 80m/100m Hurdles, 1200m/1600m/2000m Race Walk, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus
Grades:
Grade 7 - 14 (age as at 31st December 2024) You must be registered for the current 2024-2025 season.
Entry fee:
$6.00 per event There is no restriction on the number of events an athlete may enter. However, parents need to be mindful of what their child/children can tolerate.
Close of Entries:
Entries close 11.59pm Friday 14th February
Late entries, or changes to entries, will not be accepted after this date. Refunds for this competition are not available, so please enter correctly.
Club Names & Codes:
When asked for your club name and code please copy exactly from the list here.
Uniform: Athletes must wear correct club uniform.
Non-Auckland Athletes:
Athletes from outside Auckland affiliated clubs can be considered for entry via their Centre. The following conditions apply:
Only two per age grade and gender for each event per Centre
Medals will be awarded for a place alongside an Auckland registered athlete who achieved the same place compared to other Auckland athletes.
Any non-Auckland athlete who wishes to be considered should contact their Centre Secretary for further information.
All entries are subject to approval by the Athletics Auckland Junior Track and Field Committee.
