Technical Regulations
A full list of the Technical Regulations is available on the Athletics Auckland website here All athletes MUST familiarise themselves with these rules before submitting their entry.
Parking Restrictions Saturday 1st February
Please note that parking will be restricted to the athletics carpark ONLY for this event. If that carpark is full, vehicles will need to be parked on O’rorke Rd. Beasley Ave and Maurice Rd will most likely be closed to traffic. NO vehicles will be admitted to the athletics carpark after 1.00pm – please do not ask and please be respectful to the security personnel as they are only carrying out what they have been instructed. Please follow instructions of all venue, security and traffic management staff.
Entry Information
Events:
60m (Masters Men & Women), 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m Race Walk (U18), 10000m Race Walk (U20+), High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Discus. All other events will be held as part of the McKinnon Shield meet on Saturday 11th January, Saturday 18th January or Saturday 1st March.
Grades:
U14, U16, U18, U20, Senior, U17 Para, U20 Para and Senior Para - age as at 31/12/2025
Masters 5-year age groups - age as at 11/1/2025
* Masters-aged athletes have the option of entering the Senior grade or appropriate Masters age group for each event.
Entry fee:
$10.00 per event
Close of Entries:
Entries close at 11.59pm Sunday 19th January 2024. After this date the online entry system will automatically cease operation. NO late entries will be accepted under any circumstances.
Refunds:
Athletics Auckland has a no refund policy.
Club Names & Codes:
When asked for your club name and code please copy exactly from the list here
Qualification Times/Distances:
When entering an event, you will be asked to enter a Qualification Standard. This is your season best or personal best.

Track events:
SS.TSHS e.g. 12.20, 24.73, 51.68, 75.19
MM:SS.TSHS e.g. 2:09.00, 5:11.10, 15:29.64
Field events:
M.CMCM e.g. 1.65, 4.60
MM.CMCM e.g. 09.87, 32.56
Entry List:
The entry list will be available on the Athletics Auckland website as soon as possible after entries close. Athletes MUST inform Athletics Auckland immediately if there have been any errors with their entry or if they wish to withdraw from any events.
Final Programme:
The final timetable will be available on the Athletics Auckland website as soon as possible after entries close and the requirements for heats and qualifying rounds have been determined. It is the responsibility of each athlete to ensure they are aware of the start time of their event(s).
Uniform and Shoes:
Athletes must wear correct club uniform. Athletes competing in the U18, U20 or Senior grades need to state make and model of shoes for each event at time of entry.
All entries are subject to approval by the Athletics Auckland Track and Field Committee.
