The 138th Athletics New Zealand Annual General Meeting will take place on 31st August 2025 in Cambridge.

The 2025 Athletics NZ Club Connections Conference will take place on the same day, at the same venue.

The Club Connections Conference is your annual chance to come together with fellow club leaders from across Aotearoa to share challenges, celebrate successes, and learn from one another. With a full day of interactive sessions, valuable updates, and expert insights, this is your opportunity to refocus and re-energise your club for the year ahead. Whether you're new to club leadership or a long standing volunteer, the Connections Conference will leave you inspired, informed, and better connected.

Here's what's on the agenda for the day:

• AGM & Opening Address - Kick off the day with the Athletics NZ AGM, followed by a welcome from ANZ CEO Cam Mitchell setting the tone for the day.

• Key Insights - Hear the latest from our Voice of Participant research and club survey results, followed by an important session on safeguarding and compliance requirements for clubs.

• Lunch and Networking - Connect with others over lunch, check out resource tables from our partners, or join in our club-to-club speed networking session

• Interactive 'Bus Stop' Roundtables - Rotate through focused mini-sessions on coaching, officiating, Para athletics, women & girls, and tamariki/rangatahi engagement.

• New Tools & Innovation - Learn about the new Ahei app and Southland pilot programme, and how these can support your club.

• Funding Deep Dive - Join our grants and funders panel for advice, Q&A, and tips on accessing key funding streams.

• Events and Education - Wrap up with an in-depth panel session covering the national events calendar, training courses, and changes to delivery models.
