Technical Regulations
All athletes MUST familiarise themselves with these rules before submitting their entry.
These regulations also apply to the Auckland Combined Events Championships
(WU14 Pentathlon, MU14 Octathlon, Masters Men & Women Track Pentathlon and Weight Pentathlon), with the following exceptions:
Entry fee: $25.00
Masters ages:5-year age groups from 30 years
Bibs not required
Eligibility:
You must be a club registered athlete for the current 2024-2025 season.
Grades:
Age is taken as at 31st December in the year of competition.
The following grades are eligible to compete at this meet:
U14 athletes aged 12 & 13
U16 athletes aged 14 & 15
U18 athletes aged 16 & 17
U20 athletes aged 18 & 19
Senior athletes aged 20+
Masters athletes aged 35+ for New Zealand Championships
Masters athletes aged 30+ for Auckland Championships
*Masters championship events are age on first day of competition i.e. 22nd March.

WU16 Pentathlon, WU18/WU20/Senior Women/Masters Women Heptathlon
MU16 Octathlon, MU18/MU20/Senior Men/Masters Men Decathlon
*Auckland club registered athletes entering New Zealand Championship events will automatically be entered in the Auckland Championships

Athletics Auckland has a no refund policy
Close of Entries:
Entries close at 11.59pm Wednesday 12th March.
No late entries will be accepted under any circumstances.
Emails requesting late entry will not be answered.
Club Names & Codes:
When asked for your club name (Team Name for Meet Manager) and club code (Team Code for Meet Manager):
Auckland athletes: please copy exactly from the list here
Athletes from other centres: please use club name and code as listed here
International athletes: please use country and code as listed here
Qualification Times/Distances:
A Qualification Standard is not required for the Championships. However, athletes will be asked for SB for all events, as well as PB and likely start height for high jump and pole vault.
Athlete Check-In:
Athletes must report to the check-in desk no later than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of their first event.
Final Programme:
The final timetable will be confirmed after the close of entries and published on the event page of the Athletics Auckland website on Friday evening. It is the responsibility of each athlete to ensure they are aware of the start time of their event.
Shoes:
U18, U20 and Senior athletes: competition shoes need to comply with World Athletics regulations under Technical Rule 5. Please be sure to check that your shoes are on the approved list. You can check on the World Athletics website here. This list is updated regularly.
Personal Implements:
Athletes wo wish to use their own throwing implements must have them checked by the Technical Manager. Implements need to be handed in to TIC at least 90 minutes prior to the athlete’s first event of the championship.
Results:
Results will be posted at the track and will also be available on AthleticLive.
Full results will be published on the Athletics Auckland and Athletics New Zealand website after the event.
All entries are subject to approval by the LOC.
