Masters' athletes competing in an Otago Championships event will be 30+. Age is calculated as at the first day of the championship event and results given in 5 year age grades.
When Grade 12-14 athletes are competing in a senior Otago championship event, their age is determined as per the year of competition - 31 Dec 2024 and they will compete in the Under 16. Athletes can age up one grade but can only do one age grade per event. Masters athletes may choose to do Masters or Senior events but can only do one age grade per event.
