2025 Breakaway Charity Horse Ride

2025 - Raising awareness for Pancreatic Cancer (theme color, purple)

Breakaway Horse Riders Club, Mackay together with Dows Creek Hall Committee have been hosting this ride for 23 years, raising much needed funds for heart and cancer research. In recent years we have also started donating a % of money raised to the Mackay Oncology Unit at the Base Hospital in memory of club member, Mick Essam.

If you would like to gain sponsorship for the ride from family, friends or workmates, please download the attached sponsorship form. Money raised can be brought to the registration desk the morning of the ride. There are great prizes for the top 10 most money raised...... gaining sponsorship is not compulsory, just nominating, showing up and having a great day is!

Each year, just about all riders dress up or wear our theme color. This year we are looking forward to seeing 'the purple people power'! There are also 10 great prizes for best dressed horse and rider.

Refund Policy - Cancellations after the 1st of May incur a $5.00 administration fee and transaction fee cost.
