Coaching Athletic Development (CAD) Level 1 Shot Put and Discus modules, presented by Shaka Sola at Newtown Park on Saturday 28 Feb. CAD Level 1 modules are great for beginner or inexperienced coaches of athletes aged between 7 and 15 years old as well as athletes and parents wanting to learn more about the events.
The course covers the fundamentals of athletics events, helping to bridge the gap between Run Jump Throw and competitive athletics. As such, the modules have been designed according to age-appropriate and stage of development principles for 7-15-year-olds.
Please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for exercise as there will be some physical activity involved as attendees learn the concepts. Please bring your own drink, snacks and lunch as food is not provided. Bring a pen as a workbook will be provided. Due to having indoor space, this course will go ahead rain or shine.
Course numbers are limited to 20 so if the registration form doesn’t work for you, it either means the course is full OR you’re trying to register after the close-off date of 5pm, 24 February.
A requirement of receiving your CAD course certificate is completing the 90 minute World Athletics online Safeguarding course. If you haven’t already done the course, please complete it prior to the course date and email your certificate to Kirstenk@athletics.org.nz
