Javelin and Hammer Throw
Coaching Athletic Development (CAD) Level 1 is all about teaching the technical fundamentals of athletics events with emphasis on the practical skills of coaching young people in a fun and inclusive environment.
While competing in Javelin and Hammer doesn't start until the age of 14, learning the fundamentals of these events can start from a younger age.
Presented by Shaka Shola, the CAD Level 1 course on Saturday 5th September will cover both Javelin and Hammer. You can register to attend one module, or both.
Being held at the Masterton Track, Colin Pugh Sportsbowl, we will also be using the ACM clubrooms, so the course will go ahead rain or shine.
Cost: $15 per event module.
You need to be a current registered Athletics NZ Community Coach, Volunteer, Accredited Coach or registered Teacher to be able to register for CAD courses.
Being registered means that you have already been police vetted and completed the World Athletics online Safeguarding module.
If you are in the process of fulfilling these two requirements and would like to attend the course (but the form won't let you), email kirstenk@athletics.org.nz
