Athletics New Zealand Distance Event Group is hosting its annual Emerging Talent Camp in Hanmer for distance runners and race walkers from Sunday 1 to Tuesday 3 October 2023 (October school holidays).&nbsp; The focus of the camp is long term development for emerging athletes and to help develop the essential foundations required for long term distance and walks success. The camp will also provide an exciting opportunity for development athletes and their coaches to participate in workshops and train with athletes from different squads.It is also an opportunity for coaches to share and learn from each other and the presenters.&nbsp; As a coach of a developing athlete we would encourage you to attend, with your athlete, to maximise the benefits of ongoing learning.&nbsp;The venue for this year’s camp will be Hanmer Springs Forest Camp and applications are invited from Athletics New Zealand registered athletes aged 16 and over and their coaches to attend.
