Edmond Cup Cross Country 2024

To enter the event, you need to select your registration category (Club registered Competitive or Social, or Community runner), and then select an event (2km, 4km, 6km or 8km).

The Edmond Cup is a Club Teams Race which has been run for over a century.  The cup was donated in 1907 by Mr. Edmond who was a member of the now obsolete Otago Harrier Club.  The event has been run from several locations including Tahuna Park and Wingatui Racecourse.  The event is now held at the Otakou Golf Club.

This year the Edmond cup will be run as a either a 4km, 6km or 8km Open event for both Men & Women (Under 18/ Under 20/ Senior & Masters), where the first 4 Athletics NZ registered competitive runners from the same club to finish shall count for the team's race.

Note - athletes must be aged 16+ on day of competition to run the 6km or 8km event.

Walkers can take part in the Open 6km Walk where the first 4 members from the same club will count for the team's race.

For Under 16, there is a 4km race, Under 14 a 3km race and Under 12 a 2km race. The first three Athletics NZ registered competitive runners from the same club to finish shall count for the team's race. 

Under 8 boy's and girl's can take part in a fun run of approximately 1km (just turn up on the day)

We welcome non-registered community runners and walkers to take part.
