The Junior Development Squad (JDS) program is a development squad opportunity offered to competitors, born 2009-2014, who show aptitude in one or more track and field disciplines. The program is run over five physical training days, where participants will be given an opportunity to interact and socialise with their peers, while further developing their track and field skillset.
JDS training days are conducted on a Sunday afternoon at a rotation of different tracks across Melbourne. JDS will be staged in accordance with the following schedule. Only approved JDS members will be able to attend JDS Training Sessions.
· JDS Day 1: Sunday 5th of October 2025 – Ringwood
· JDS Day 2: Sunday 19th of October 2025 – Whittlesea City
· JDS Day 3: Sunday 30th of November 2025 – Williamstown
· JDS Day 4: Sunday 22nd of February 2026 – Frankston
· JDS Day 5: Sunday 17th of May 2026 – Ballarat

Registering FAQ: You are required to register for JDS using your Gameday account email and password, if you cannot remember your password, you will be able to reset the password using the prompt on the login page. You must be a season 2025/2026 Financial member to be eligible to register for JDS.
JDS Tee Shirt: All Approved JDS members will receive a squad t-shirt as part of their membership, you will be required to select a size during the registration. Please find HERE the Energetic Size Chart guide. You will not be able to change your size once selected.
Further Communications: A cross check process will occur for all applicants to JDS, after which, those deemed eligible will receive a further welcome/confirmation email.
Please note: Important information, including event rotations and finalised timetables will be emailed to approved JDS applicants at 5pm on the Thursday preceding each training session.
