Our Clinic offers fantastic ways for kids to develop their athletic abilities while enhancing their social skills.The junior clinic offers a 3 event rotation format- sprints, long jump, and discus, focusing on developing the basic fundamental skills in these&nbsp;events.The senior clinic&nbsp;focuses on a specific event group: endurance or jumps where participants will further develop their skills in the chosen events.&nbsp;These clinics are open to all abilities and will develop, extend and challenge their current skill levels.Spots are limited, so secure your child's spot today!&nbsp;CLINIC DETAILSClinic Date:Friday 19 July 2024Venue: Peel ReserveTime: 9am - 12:15pm (sign in from 8:30am)Cost: $55Closing Date: 11.59pm Thursday 11 July 2024&nbsp;JUNIOR SKILLS CLINIC - U9-U11 (Born 2016-2013): Rotate Between 3 Events&nbsp;Each session will be approximately 45 minutes in duration (snack/recovery break between each session).&nbsp;Rotation of events:<ul><li>&nbsp;Sprints: technique, speed development drills, starts,</li><li>&nbsp;Long Jump: run-up, take-off, flight &amp; landing</li><li>Discus: development of sound standing throw technique,</li></ul>&nbsp;SENIOR CLINICS - U12-U17 (Born 2012-2007): 1 event group to be chosen: endurance or jumps&nbsp;Each session will be approximately 75 minutes in duration (snack/recovery break between each session).&nbsp;NOTE: participants cannot swap between groups and must stay within their specific clinic&nbsp;&nbsp;Senior “Endurance” Clinic: Middle Distance and Racewalking<ul><li>Session 1 – Middle Distance - 9am to 10.20am: Focus: starts, running form, tempo, tactics</li><li>&nbsp;Session 2 – Race walking - 10.50am to 12.15pm: Focus - Technique, gait, speed control</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;Senior “Jumps” Clinic: Long Jump and Triple Jump<ul><li>Session 1 – Long Jump - 9am to 10.20am: Focus - measure your steps, run up, take off &amp; landing)</li><li>&nbsp;Session 2 - Triple Jump - 10.50am to 12.15pm: Focus - measure your steps, run up, hop/step/take-off development, flight phase &amp; landing</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;Refund Policy: There will be a $10 admin fee for those wanting to withdraw before the closing date. There will be no refund after the closing date other than when participants are required to withdraw from the event due to illness or not feeling well in the days leading up to the event, and/or required to self-isolate for COVID-related reasons.
