Help Send Our Future Basketball Stars Overseas!

For many young athletes in Aotearoa, the dream of representing New Zealand on the international stage comes with a significant challenge - the cost.

Like many sports in New Zealand, basketball operates under a user-pays model. When a player is selected for an age-group national team, families are often responsible for covering travel and accommodation costs to attend key international tournaments.

While BBNZ subsidises a portion of each athlete’s costs and covers all tournament operations, families are still left with a substantial financial burden.

The BBNZ Raffle is back again for 2025

To help ease this burden, we’ve once again launched the BBNZ Raffle - a fun and impactful way to support our national team athletes.

Here’s how it works:

• Buy a raffle ticket for $20 (up to 1,250 tickets available for sale).

• Choose to support a specific athlete or an entire team (your contribution will be split evenly across the team).

• 100% of your ticket purchase goes directly toward that athlete’s travel costs.

• You’ll also be entered into a draw to win a fantastic range of exclusive sports prizes - drawn on 1 December 2025.

It’s a great way to get behind our future basketball stars, helping them reach the world stage while giving yourself the chance to win something amazing in return!

Raffle Details

• vi. Details of where, when and how results will be notified publicly (Email direct to winners, on BBNZ Website, published the day of the lottery draw - 01/12/2025)
