James Sandilands is the coach behind Olympic champion Hamish Kerr's historic Paris 2024 gold medal in high jump, New Zealand's first-ever Olympic medal in the event. James brings expertise as both a performance technique analyst and strength and conditioning coach. He became Hamish Kerr's lead coach less than a year before the Paris Olympics and the partnership delivered extraordinary results including a World Indoor Championship gold medal in Glasgow. James is a nominee for the prestigious Buddle Findlay Coach of the Year Award at the 2025 Halberg Awards.
