Athletics Northland Road Race Championships 2026

Northland Athletics is excited to welcome you to the Northland Road Championships hosted by Hatea Run.

This event is a highlight of our regional road running calendar and a fantastic opportunity for athletes of all ages to compete, challenge themselves, and enjoy the strong Northland running community.

The course will run around the footpaths of part of the loop and down riverside drive toward Onerahi.

Walkers are warmly welcome, making this a great inclusive event for all abilities, whether you're racing for a championship title or taking part for the experience.

With the NZ Road champs taking place August 29th, the Road Champs are perfectly timed as a key lead-in event for the upcoming relay season.

Event Registration Information

Everyone is welcome to enter and participate in the Athletics Northland Road Championships hosted by Hatea Run.

Athletes who are not affiliated with a Northland Athletics club are welcome to compete for a $10 entry fee. While non-affiliated athletes are eligible to place in the event and appear in the overall results, they are not eligible for Northland Championship titles or medals.

Northland club athletes are reminded to ensure their 2026/27 Athletics New Zealand membership is current to be eligible for championship titles, medals, and official championship results.
