Connacht Blitz Day - Secondary Schools 26/27

Olympic Handball Secondary Schools Competition 2026/27 🤾‍♀️🤾‍♂️

Get your school ready for the Olympic Handball Secondary Schools Competition 2026/27!

Schools will compete in regional events across the country for the opportunity to represent their province at the All-Ireland Finals.

How does qualification work?

The number of qualifying teams from each event depends on how many events are being held within that province.

• Where a province has two regional events: the winner of each category at each event will qualify for the All-Ireland Finals — giving the province two qualifiers per category overall.

• Where a province has one regional event: two teams per category will qualify for the All-Ireland Finals.

Whether your school is returning or taking part for the first time, these events are a fantastic opportunity for students to represent their school, enjoy competitive handball and test themselves against other schools.

⚠️ Places at each event are limited, so schools are encouraged to register early to secure their teams’ places.
