Shot Put Coaching Clinic at Port Macquarie

This Little Athletics NSW Shot Put Coaching Clinic is for children in the Under 8 to Under 17 age groups for the 2023/24 Little Athletics season (Born 2007-2016).

During the session, athletes will receive instruction on the fundamentals of shot putting. The coaching will focus on an effective grip, proper shot placement, and correct arm action and release, culminating in a sound standing throw. Basic movement skills across the throwing circle may also be included if relevant to the group.

Date: Wednesday, 10 July 2024

Time: 11.30am - 1.00pm (Arrival 11.20am for check-in).

Where: Stuart Park, Hibbard Drive, Port Macquarie

Who: Athletes in the Under 8 & Under 17 age groups for the 2023/24 Little Athletics season (i.e. born 2007 - 2016).

Coach: Darren Wensor, Little Athletics NSW Regional Development Officer, Level 4 coach, 35 years coaching experience

Cost: $15.00

Closing: Tuesday, 9 July 2024 at 12.00pm  (unless maximum numbers are reached earlier).

Members from any Little Athletics centre are welcome to register for this coaching clinic. Non-members are also welcome.

Parents are encouraged to get up close to the action to listen and learn.

Refund Policy: There will be a $5 admin fee for withdrawal before the closing date. There will be no refund after the closing date unless participants are required to withdraw from the event due to illness or required to self-isolate for COVID-related reasons. Other extenuating circumstances may be considered on an individual basis.
