Sports Podge is known for bringing together the great and the good of the sports world. Each year we celebrate the triumphs, legacies and friendships forged through sport in a relaxed and inclusive environment and this year, we’re joining forces in celebrating 10 years of the amazing Invictus Games Foundation. 

Through sport and adventure, the Foundation inspires, improves, and influences the recovery and rehabilitation of a global community of wounded, injured, and sick service personnel. That’s a whole decade of changing lives and saving lives, which we’re sure you’ll agree is truly awesome work.

With over 300 formidable guests on the day, all with their own unique super power, we promise thrills, potential spills (careful now). But most of all, it’s an epic opportunity to catch up with old friends, make lots of new ones and get inspired. No endless awards. No auctions. No buying tables! These are our kryptonite! Every guest is hand chosen. 

For 2024 we’re returning to The Duchy Suite at The Kia Oval where guests can enjoy a drinks reception, 3 course meal and marvel at a day filled with all-inclusive conversation, inspiration and all important jollification, surrounded by the characters who make sport tick! 

Timings:

• Drinks Reception – 12.30pm for drinks reception

• Lunch – 1.15pm for a long lunch

• Post Event Networking Drinks - 5.00pm - 7.00pm - drinks and nibbles

• Guest list

The guest list is strictly limited to those who receive the invitation so please do not order or pay for more tickets than your invitation states. All guests are pre-approved by the organiser but we always welcome recommendations, so if you have someone in mind that you think is fabulous enough to attend, please let us know.

• Food & Dietary Requirements

Unlike most events, you get a choice of menu. You will make your main course selection when booking your place and the full menu will go live with the website 2 months prior. Please provide any dietary requirements and ensure you share any allergies/special requirements.

• Refund Policy

Our official refund policy is 30 days, but as long as we have a waiting list in place, we are happy to receive refund requests up until two weeks before the lunch and will try to issue a refund where we can. Guests will receive a full refund minus the GameDay booking fee.

• Staying over?

There is a brand new Travelodge directly opposite the Oval. They are now taking bookings with an expected open date of March. Last time we looked, rooms were £120 per night. Here is the link to book .
