2023/24 Athletics New Zealand’s Ultimate Thrower Competition
What is it?
Athletics NZ want to know who the Ultimate throwers in NZ are! There are two categories, the individual event, and the more prestigious category – The Ultimate Champion (all 4 throws).
How does this work?
Individual event = We will select your top two performances from any of the 2023/24 National Permit meets, Continental Tours, your Club Centre Championships or the Postal Throws Weekend (all official results between the 23rd-26th November - SJM included). We will then add those together to create your score. Para scores for discus, shot and Javelin will be worked out based on the percentage of the WR.
The Ultimate Thrower = We will select your best throw in each category from any of the 2023/24 National Permit meets, Continental Tours, your Club Centre Championships or the Postal Throws Weekend (all official results between the 23rd-26th November - SJM included). We will then use the WA Scoring Table to work out your points for each throw and add them all together. Para scores for discus, shot and javelin will be worked out depending on the percentage of the WR.
