Water safety is important for everyone, no matter your age, background, or experience around water.
The Adult and Children Water Safety Program is a friendly community program designed for families, adults and children of all backgrounds to learn essential water safety skills in a safe and welcoming environment.
This program empowers adults and children with the practical knowledge, lifesaving skills and confidence to stay safe in and around water.
It is suitable for people from all cultures and backgrounds, and no swimming experience is required.
We welcome:
Adults of all ages,
Children from 6 months and older,
Families and individuals,
People who are new to swimming or returning after time away,
Multicultural and culturally diverse community members.
Participants will learn:
Basic water safety rules
How to stay safe in pools and around water
Stroke development and swimming confidence
Water safety and survival skills
Dry and wet rescue techniques
CPR training and community first aid awareness
How to respond calmly in an emergency
Sessions are delivered in a safe, supportive environment and adjusted to suit different abilities.

Session Eight: Optional HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course for up to 10 adults - 19 April, 2026
